Virgin is dropping a round of dirt-cheap tickets just in time for Boxing Day sales — including a one-way economy trip from Sydney to Byron Bay for as little as $55.
The airline revealed it will release 800,000 discounted fares for both domestic and international destinations next Monday.
Other popular destinations available include the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Cairns, Bali, Tokyo and Vanuatu on selected dates from February to September 2023.
The sale officially ends at midnight AEST on Thursday December 29.
“It’s been a privilege to support millions of Australians in stretching their dollar further this year, both with the Velocity program’s new partnerships and member innovations, and as an airline with more choice and better value airfares,” Velocity Frequent Flyer chief executive Nick Rohrlach said in a statement.
Despite cost-of-living pressures impacting many Australians this year, Virgin knows “travel and connecting with loved ones remains a high priority and we’re proud of what we’ve been able to deliver travellers who have less discretionary spend right now”, Mr Rohrlach said.
