PUT down your morning tea, this is going to make you gag.

Speaking of which, a python was caught doing exactly that on the streets of Bangkok after it gobbled down a dog that was too big for its belly.

Smartphone footage, capturing the reptile's regurgitation in Thailand's Rat Burana district, shows the snake struggling to contain its generously-sized meal, eventually stretching its jaw so wide the canine simply slides out.

So far the video has received over 150,000 views.

"The video tells me that the python was being stressed - like someone was poking at it - because the python will have a much more difficult time defending itself if it has a huge meal in it," reptile expert and conservationist Jim Nesci told the New York Daily News.

"In nature, predators are very opportunistic and will eat whatever they can at the time because they don't know when they can eat next."

Brings new meaning to the phrase "overeating", eh?

Mind your stomach, this is going to get gross.

Animal experts believe the snake regurgitated the dog because it was "stressed".

The snake begins to stretch its jaw wide as the dog slips out.

Ew!
