There are some extreme systems in place for packing Kate Middleton’s clothes

Her dresses are probably treated better than we are when we travel, and the entire royal family has a stringent packing system to keep luggage in order.

Kate Middleton always looks pristine when she steps out in public, even when she’s just flown around the world for a royal tour.

So how does she manage it? Instead of the duchess cramming her dresses and shirts into suitcases like us mere mortals, she books an entire row to lay out her garment bags on the plane so her clothes don’t get crumpled.

The Sun’s Royal Correspondent Emily Andrews says on private chartered flights, Kate’s outfits are laid over their own seats.

Emily said: “When it’s small charter planes and there is space, her clothes do have their own row.

“This happened on a private plane we took in India to Kasaranga National Park.

“Natasha Archer [Kate’s stylist] brought all her dresses on and laid them over an entire row.”

According to the former creative director of Mulberry, Scott Henshall, the duchess will often choose fabrics that are least likely to wrinkle when she’s travelling.

Scott told the MailOnline: “All the Duchess or her ‘people’ have to do is familiarise themselves with the best wrinkle-free fabrics.

“Typically synthetic fabrics such as polyester, nylon, acrylic and olefin have a natural resistance to wrinkles and a greater stability since they do not absorb water as efficiently.”

Emily confirmed that Kate doesn’t book seats for her clothes when they fly commercially.

She said: “It doesn’t happen on a BA scheduled flight.

“On a scheduled flight they travel business (or first) on Royal tours and so all Kate’s wardrobe gets hung up in an actual wardrobe on board.”

The royal family also has a ‘packing hack’ that means they can easily sort their luggage when they arrive at their destination.

Each piece of luggage has a colour coded tag monogrammed with the letter of the owner’s first name.

The Duchess’ staff have been photographed in the past carrying clothes bags with a ‘C’ embroidered on in blue stitching. She’s known to use yellow baggage tags.

Prince William’s clothes covers are said to be colour-coded red and stitched with a ‘W’ and a crown emblem.

The younger royals are also included in the special luggage system, with Prince George’s suitcases marked with a blue tag.

Etiquette expert Myka Meier, founder of Beaumont Etiquette, revealed Kate and Meghan Markle have a trick to avoid dresses blowing up as they leave planes.

She said: “Often they wear body suits and clothes that actually increase static so it’s much hard for something to fly up.

“So you have an under garment that is almost like a body suit that is one tactic that is used.

“I know when I went to finishing school we were taught that when you are on the tarmac, if you do not use weights or heavy weighted material, you make sure it will not fly up by wearing under garments that keep the fabrics connect to your body.”
