THE team behind Click Frenzy is holding its first-ever travel shopping event tomorrow — and it’s tipped to be massive.

The inaugural Travel Frenzy sale, which starts on Tuesday night, promises to slash up to 70 per cent off deals on holiday packages, flights, accommodation, experiences, tours and cruises over a 24-hour period.

There will also be savings on car rentals, insurance and travel-related merchandise and products.

Some of the travel packages that will have prices slashed as part of the online sale include trips to Bali, Fiji, Sri Lanka, and China, as well as local destinations such as Port Douglas and the Gold Coast.

There promises to be more than 600 travel-related deals on offer from about 100 travel brands, and the full range will be revealed when the sale officially starts.

Fiji is one of the destinations where shoppers can plan a holiday at rock-bottom prices.

Some of the participating brands are Webjet, Booking.com, Hotels.com, Agoda and Luxury Escapes and a host of global airlines, hotel chains and tour operators.

The first-ever sale of its kind is a spin-off of Click Frenzy, the Cyber Friday-style shopping event that famously sent the internet into meltdown in 2012.

Click Frenzy co-founder Grant Arnott said the interest in travel-related deals in previous Click Frenzy sales showed it was time for a travel-specific shopping event.

Huge savings are also on offer for holidays to Sri Lanka.

“We knew Travel Frenzy would be big, but it’s already beyond what we expected,” Click Frenzy co-founder Grant Arnott said.

“We created this event because we have seen high interest from our shoppers in the travel category during Click Frenzy, with only limited offerings.

“It was time to break travel out into its own event, and the response has been phenomenal.”

The 24-hour sale starts at 7pm AEST on Tuesday, October 18 on the Click Frenzy website.
