Woman’s genius travel hack for long-haul flights

A woman has revealed a clever travel hack, one that she swears by for lengthy, uncomfortable flights.

Woman's genius long-haul flight hack

A woman’s strange technique for sleeping on planes has gone viral - with fellow passengers labelling it “genius”.

TikTok user Kristen, who often shares her own life hacks and tricks, explained the item she now uses to get some shut-eye during a flight, The Sun reported.

Speaking to her 315,000 followers, Kristen said she’d had an “epiphany” about how she could make herself more comfortable on long-haul flights.

“I came up with one of the best ideas of my life,” she said.

“I have purchased five different travel neck pillows and they all suck. I wished something would hold my neck in place, something like a neck brace.

“And I had an epiphany - why not just buy a neck brace?”

She said her decision to embrace the unorthodox idea was because she “doesn’t care” what she looks like on long-haul flights.

Kristen also said if you buy it in black and cover it with a scarf, people won't even be able to tell. “When you lay back, your neck isn't going anywhere,” she said.

Despite being a strange option instead of a travel pillow, many TikTok praised her idea.

The video has been liked by more than 12,000 people and viewed 140,000 times.

“Best idea ever! Avid traveller here and it's a great idea,” one commenter said.

“Omg thank you, I travel a lot and this will help me so much,” another added.

“I discovered this a few years ago, it's amazing,” a third said.

However, others pointed out that she may have been wearing the travel pillows incorrectly, with the gap meant to go at the back of your neck instead of at the front.

Despite that, Kristen said all her pillows were too soft for her to lean her head on.
