Virgin’s huge global win against airlines
Virgin Australia appears to be unbeatable in this one category, with the Aussie airline winning the reputable award for the seventh consecutive year.
When it comes to having the best cabin crew out of any other airline, Virgin Australia wins.
The Aussie carrier dominated yet again in AirlineRatings.com annual Airline Excellence Awards, winning Best Cabin Crew for the seventh year in a row.
The awards are judged by editors with more than 200 years of combined aviation experience and celebrate the industry’s best airlines, with Korean Air taking out the top, overall spot. More than 380 airlines are considered against strict criteria including safety, value, passenger comfort and innovation with Virgin cabin crew proving they’re the best in the business.
“We know our people are exceptional and deliver wonderful service each and every day, so awards like these are fitting recognition by our guests,” Virgin Australia Group CEO, Jayne Hrdlicka said in a statement.
“It also showcases the value of our unique Virgin flair, which clearly differentiates us in all parts of our business but particularly the experience our guests enjoy.
“This ensures we stand out in all the right ways.”
Ms Hrdlicka said earning the title of World’s Best Cabin Crew for the seventh consecutive time makes her “immensely proud of the experience our people consistently deliver on-board”.
Virgin also won World’s Best Regional Airline alongside Air Baltic namely for excellence in service, reliability and overall passenger experience.
“Virgin Australia Regional (VARA) has consistently delivered an outstanding travel experience, combining efficiency and customer focus to meet the needs of regional and Fly in Fly Out (FiFo) travellers,” Sharon Petersen, CEO of Airline Rating said.
Meanwhile, Virgin also came third in the Top 20 Hybrid Airlines category, alongside a number of its airline partners.

These wins come as Virgin makes big investments in guest experience. including new aircraft, new aircraft interiors with upgraded seats, in-seat power and Wi-Fi.
