Virgin drops mammoth sale to Queensland with fares from $45
Virgin Australia has just announced a massive sale that will see flights to this popular destination starting from just $45.
Virgin Australia has just dropped a huge sale with more than half a million fares to Queensland, starting from just $45.
The Aussie airline, in partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland, launched the mammoth sale to the sunshine state today, for seven days only.
The cheapest route is Sydney to the Gold Coast from $45 one-way on Economy Lite. It’s followed by Sydney to the Sunshine Coast from $59 one-way and also Melbourne to the Gold Coast from $59.
Those who are in Brisbane and keen to head to Prosperpine (Whitsundays) can do so from $69 one-way.
“With summer just around the corner and great value fares from just $45, there is no better
time to book a trip to Queensland,” Virgin Australia executive Libby Minogue said.
“We love sharing the beauty of our country with Aussie travellers and the scenic landscapes and picturesque beaches of Queensland are no exception.
“We encourage travellers to get in quick as the sale fares won’t last long.”
There’s also hundreds of accommodation and experience deals, including a $999 Whitsundays pack that includes seven nights at Heart Hotel and Gallery Whitsundays, return Airport transfers for two, bottle of wine on arrival and late check out.
Queensland’s Tourism Minister Michael Healy said at a time when we are facing challenging cost-of-living pressures, “this offer presents the perfect opportunity for Aussies to take that holiday they deservedly need, without breaking the budget”.
Other deals include Melbourne to Hamilton Island one-way from $105 and Adelaide to Brisbane from $119.
The sale comes as a survey between August 27 and September 3 based on 1532 adults, revealed 73 per cent of Aussies feel like they need a holiday, with over half (55 per cent) spending more than an hour a week thinking about booking that next trip.
“This is a great chance to book that break you’ve been wanting, with very competitive airfares to get you on your Queensland holiday,” Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Patricia O’Callaghan said.
“With three quarters of Aussies really needing a holiday, and travel intentions to Queensland on the rise this spring, we are certain these airfares will be snapped up with great enthusiasm,” she said.
“There are so many wonderful reasons to book that trip, from awesome events on now like Toowoomba’s Carnival of Flowers and the Brisbane Festival, to nabbing an early new year trip to experience the Brisbane International or Magic Millions, to soaking up spring and summer in the Sunshine State, our magical rainforests, coral spawning on the Great Barrier Reef, turtle hatching season and so much more on nature’s calendar.”
The sale ends midnight AEST on Sunday, September 22, 2024 and is for travel dates between October 21, 2024 and June 30, 2025.
All sale fares include Velocity Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits.
