Virgin Australia launch mammoth sale with $49 fares

Summer may be coming to a close, but airlines across the country are firing up some of the hottest sales we have seen all year.

Virgin Australia has announced a massive new sale just as the end of summer draws near.

The sale is the perfect way to ease into the cooler months, with some of Australia’s most popular (and always warm) destinations on sale.

Some of the Aussie hotspots include Byron Bay, Sunshine Coast, Hamilton Island and Uluru — with select fares as low as low as $49 one way.

Sale fares will be available until March 2, 2025 — with the airline’s Chief Commercial Officer Dave Emerson saying amid the cost-of-living pressures — the prices will offer some small relief for those hoping to get away this year.
