The easy way you can get into the Qantas lounge for free
If you thought getting into the Qantas lounge was reserved only for exclusive flyers — think again. Because this is how you get in for free.
It’s the airport area where most of us can’t go.
But a special promotion now means even passengers flying economy with Qantas can enter one of their lounges and relax, eat and drink in comfort.
The special promotion, which will run until August 31, means passengers heading overseas can use the business lounge for free on all flights departing from now until February 29, 2020.
But there are a few boxes you’ll need to tick to gain access.
First, you will have to be aged between 18 and 35 and have signed up to the company’s website.
You also need to be booked on a flight starting with “QF” and not one that partners with Emirates, meaning the feature will only really be available to people flying to locations like New Zealand, USA, Singapore and Indonesia.
The lounge will allow guests access to a range of food and beverage options, as well as shower facilities, news and entertainment and free Wi-Fi.
In a statement to news.com.au, a Qantas spokesperson said the offer was specifically targeted at younger passengers choosing to fly with the airline.
“Like any business, we are always looking for ways to engage our customers,” the spokesperson said.
“Recently, we deployed a campaign with a focus on our youth demographic. As part of the trial, a subset of Frequent Flyers were selected to receive lounge passes as part of their Qantas ticket purchase.”
Eligible passengers will need to book their lounge access at least seven days prior to travel and include their QFF number in the booking.
