AIR traffic controllers have a tough job coordinating the flight paths of thousands of aircraft around the world.

If you’ve ever doubted that, or wondered just how busy our skies are, this video will amaze you.

The footage shows the North Atlantic skies between Canada, the United States and Europe where between 2000 and 3000 planes fly every day.

Pulled together by NATS, a company that provides air traffic control services around the world, it shows air traffic from a 24 hour period, condensed into a two minute video.

Looking like incredible blue shooting stars, the flight paths cross through an amazing network of airways.
