It’s no surprise Singapore Airlines has the best first class cabin in the world.

Judging by all the viral TikToks, one clocking a huge 16 million views, you can understand what all the fuss is about.

The major airline cleans up awards when it comes to what’s going on in the pointy end of its Airbus 380.

It has a longstanding reputation for pushing the boundaries of cabin innovation and the introduction of its ‘Skyroom’ suites is no exception.

“Since refreshing our suites in 2017, customer feedback on our innovative amenities, personalised service and luxurious spaces has been hugely positive, and we are proud to once again be recognised as best in class,” Louis Arul, regional vice president south west pacific, for Singapore Airlines told news.com.au after winning ‘Best First Class’ in the AirlineRatings.com 2024 Awards.

The airline safety and product rating website described the Skyroom as “spectacular”.

“Each suite covers between 3.23 and 4 sq m of floor space with two-piece sliding doors operated manually, as opposed to electrically with other carriers, a source for prolonged malfunctions.

“The main feature is a separate fold-out flat-bed measuring 76” by 27” (1.93m x 0.68m) complete with mattress bedding, duvet, and pillows. The bedhead has a gas spring to keep the head up to watch a movie while lying down.”

US travel blogger, Jordan Egbert, showed what it’s really like flying in the suite — and he said it did not disappoint.

The frequent flyer, from Las Vegas, who goes by the handle ‘counting countries’ said it was “more like a hotel than a plane seat”.

“Located on the top floor of the double decker plane I make my way to my seat to get my first look — and my goodness it does not disappoint,” he begins the clip.

“This is the only aeroplane seat in the sky that has a separate bed and seat.”

He explained that after takeoff he was served a welcome drink, snacks and the popular Singapore Airlines teddy bear.

“They then bring me an amenity kit which consists of high end Lalique lotions and perfume and quite possibly the most comfortable slippers I’ve ever worn.”

Jordan then experiences the food, giving it a 10/10.

“For my apetizer I am served a smoked salmon and parmesan salad. My main course was lobster thermidor which I pre-ordered and was handmade by a chef specficially for this flight. “All of the food was 10 out of 10 including this cheesecake for dessert.”

Following dinner, he then showed footage of himself hopping into the twin sized bed.

“This feels way more like flying private than it does a commercial flight. I wake up a few hours later somewhere over Singapore wishing that my flight was about 10 hours longer.”

His clip has amassed more than 16 million views with many joking they’re “too poor to watch”.

“I get why I turn my phone on aeroplane mode so people in first class can stream 4k lol,” one person wrote.

“I am to poor to be watching this TikTok,” another joked.

“Why is TikTok calling me poor with all these first class flight videos,” a third added.

Many were also curious about the cost.

According to the airline’s website a one-way flight from Sydney to Singapore in early September flying First Class on the A380-800 costs roughly $8000.

Another frequent flyer clocked 43 million views on his clip after also getting to experience luxury at 30,000ft.

“First class on @SingaporeAir’s A380 is a dream come true,” Pitor wrote.

Last year, the airline took out the World’s Best Airline in the Skytrax World Airline awards.

The fifth time it won the prestigious accolade.

It took the top spot in four categories including Best First Class Airline, Best First Class Comfort Amenities, and Best Airline in Asia.
