Ex-flight attendant reveals cabin crew’s ‘most hated’ flyer
A former flight attendant has dished the dirt on which passenger is their “most hated” – and the answer may surprise you.
There are a lot of things cabin crew have to put with on a flight, but there is one type of passenger considered to be the “worst”, according to a former flight attendant.
Kat Kamalani, a US-based influencer and ex-airline worker, has shared a now viral TikTok revealing that, while some people might think it’s crying babies who top the list, it’s instead those who complain about the babies who are considered the “most irritating” to cabin crew.
The social media star, who boasts almost one million TikTok followers, explained there is nothing worse than this type of complaint because it makes both the parents and the staff uncomfortable.

“I promise you, there’s nothing that irritates us more as a flight attendant when people complain about a baby crying,” Kat said in the clip.
“DON’T even ask to be moved to a different seat. No one wants that baby to stop crying more than that parent.”
She suggested that those who get annoyed by crying babies to invest in noise-cancelling headphones.
“Or maybe ask the parent if they need help,” she suggested.
The mother-of-two’s clip has been viewed almost two million times, garnering massive support from fellow parents.
“YES THIS,” one woman wrote.
“I have three children and it’s the worst feeling knowing people hate it. We do everything to make sure they don’t cry,” a mum added.
One person revealed how he played with a child, while their mother got some sleep.
“I once spent a 1.5-hour flight playing with a fussy baby with a half empty water bottle while their mumma napped. Kept baby happy,” they wrote.
“I had a lady next to me with an infant one time and I literally held her while the mother napped,” added another.
One mum said it only makes parents more stressed when “everyone around us is against us”.
Meanwhile, in September a father revealed how a passenger unleashed on him over his crying baby.
“He started [complaining to] my wife for ‘our bad parenting’ and demanded we control our baby,” the man said in a Reddit post.
“My wife, annoyed, told him that we are trying but he is overwhelmed. We are so sorry for upsetting him but we are trying.
“He said it wasn’t enough, he is tired and wants to sleep but our baby doesn’t let him. Again, my wife apologises and at this point, he starts yelling at us.”
The dad said he ended up yelling back at him, with flight crew then telling him to go back to his seat.
The man’s post sparked a divide in opinion with some asking why the parents weren’t “better prepared”, while others said the passenger was out of line for yelling at the mum and dad.
As frustrating as a crying baby can be for some passengers, one man found the humour in it by recording his hilarious reaction during a 29-hour flight to Berlin.
Henry Beasley, a musician from New Zealand, decided to record his facial reactions to the crying and screaming baby.
In the clip, which has been viewed 11 million times, Henry writes: “Rate my 29-hour flight to Berlin,” before hilariously adding, “The kid’s got some lungs. Great projection.”
