Matty J reveals romantic holiday with partner Laura

THE former Bachelor and his partner Laura have taken a romantic trip away, but had no idea what they’d discover.

THE Bachelor’s Matty J has unlocked the secrets of a stunning island paradise just two flying hours from Sydney.

The 31-year-old and his jewellery designer partner, Laura Byrne, recently visited the tropical destination of New Caledonia, and filmed highlights of the trip.

The loved-up couple went jetskiing — but Matty lost his Go-Pro.

The couple went hiking to find an even better view of the island.

A video of their romantic holiday shows the pair being taken on a Mini Moke tour of the capital and largest city, Noumea.

They also went jetskiing in the island’s pristine waters, where Matty lost his Go-Pro.

But they trudged on, headed across to the west coast of the main island, which is more calm and quiet than the bustling capital city.

Laura checks out their new digs for the stay.

The pair went snorkelling in New Caledonia’s incredible coral reefs.

There they went horse riding, snorkelling and on a 5km tour to the top of a hill to see the picturesque surroundings.

Matty also took in a small plane flight to get an even better view of the tropical island.

“Even thought it’s so close to Australia — from Sydney it’s a two hour flight — you get here and it feels like it’s an island that could be in the Mediterranean,” Matty said.

The 2017 Bachie has been taking in a lot of travel after landing a gig as a thrillseeking travel reporter for Channel 10’s The Living Room.
