OUTRIGGER on the Lagoon Fiji has a new adults-only pool and bistro, the Vahavu.
Meaning “to relax” or “chill out” the $2.2 million Vahavu complex has a 20m lap pool, a 35m lagoon pool and a swim-up bar. Resort general manager Peter Hopgood said Vahavu was built after feedback from couples who wanted a quieter environment than the main pool area. The bistro has a contemporary menu with shared tapas plates, casual meals with a selection of sides, dessert and coffee with full poolside service plus indoor or lounge seating and a selection of tropical cocktails with names such as Bula Bula, Lost Bikini and Coconut Bliss. The resort, on the Coral Coast of the main island Viti Levu, has other adult-only venues including the Bebe Spa Sanctuary, a la carte fine-dining restaurant Ivi and the Sundowner Bar and Grill.
