The Dyer Woods Nudist campground in the northeast of the United States is on the hunt for a new lifeguard. You don’t need to be surf-certified but the successful applicant will need solid credentials in lifeguard and first aid training and good communication skills.

They also need to know one other important fact — it’s a nudist campground.

The five star rated campground’s website invites guests to “experience nature naturally”.

“For those who have never tried social nudity before, we understand that you may be nervous or need some time to get adjusted. While our common areas are nudity required, we welcome you to enjoy the rest of the grounds and our hiking trails to get acclimated in a more private setting. Once you get out of your clothes, we think you’ll find a wonderful new feeling of freedom.”

The part-time summer job at the private family campground in Foster, Rhode Island, was advertised on Facebook.

There are more than 260 clothing optional resorts, beaches, and RV campgrounds across North America, according to American Association of Nude Recreation.

Campground president Jim Johnson told the The Providence Journal there had not been a lot of responses to the ad but there was a shortage of lifeguards across the state.

He said the lifeguard could “wear their suit” if they wanted and was not worried about people applying for the role for the wrong reasons.

“It would be a pretty big commitment for somebody if they just want to come up and gawk,” he said.

Whoever does land the job will have the luxury of being beautiful countryside and activities including hiking, swimming, volleyball and even spending time in the sauna.
