With the clock ticking, American free climber Dean Potter clambers up the stunning red rock on Cathedral Peak, then inches across, silhouetted perfectly against the moon.

Shot from more than 1500m away with a Canon 800mm lens by filmmaker Mikey Schaefer, the stunt is part of a project for National Geographic Channel called The Man Who Can Fly.
