MALOLO Island resort in Fiji will reopen next month after a $5.5 million refurbishment to repair damage caused by Cyclone Evan in December.

The revamped resort will have a new restaurant complex with a 100-seat Terrace Restaurant for families and a 60-seat airconditioned adults-only restaurant called Treetops overlooking the gardens. There will also be a new teenager lounge and the area around the adults' pool has been extended to fit new lounges. Guests will be greeted at a new arrivals and departures bure and an activity beach hut will incorporate the dive shop. There is also a family bure built in a two-storey beachside building which will house two family bures. The family bures can sleep up to seven people. Prices start at around $220 per person a night.
