You can now buy your very own Caribbean island on eBay
IF WHITE sandy beaches, a year-round temp of 30C and dolphin spotting take your fancy, get your bids in now for this private Caribbean island.
MOST people use eBay to flog ancient blenders, old cars, faux designer handbags and even used dollar notes, but one user has upped the ante.
If you want white sandy beaches, a year-round temperature of 30C, dolphin spotting on your doorstep and snorkelling just 20 minutes away, then get bidding on this 1.6 hectare island off the coast of Belize in the Caribbean, The Sun reports. In the description the seller explains: “I’ve been sympathetically restoring it and due to unforeseen circumstances have decided to move back to the UK. “It’s with a heavy heart that I put this land up for sale, but to the right person it will be a wonderful escape and a great investment potential.” Imagine just how heavy that heart is — the amazing aerial view shows a breathtaking sandy island sat right in The Blue Ground range, “famous for its wonderful azure sea”. The current owner said the island boasted “beautiful corals around the caye, and dolphin spotting is a daily occurrence”. The seller added it was the closest island to the village of Hopkins, halfway down the coast of Belize, which was 20 minutes away. While the seller doesn’t mention where your nearest pub or corner shop is, we’re pretty sure that won’t put the right buyer off. There are only two days left to get your bid in, or you can buy now for the price of $1.24 million. Postage is “collect in person” and, be warned, there are no returns.
