That’s a staggering three storeys per day, which is quickly becoming the construction norm in the country these days. Because you snooze, you lose, right? The tower was part of the ‘Mini Sky City’ project in Changsha and was built by the Chinese company Broad Sustainable Building, who released this video showing the process. They had originally wanted to build a 97-storey tower that would have claimed the titled of the world’s tallest. But the work was halted at 20 storeys while the plans were reviewed, and it was lowered to 57 levels because of its proximity to an airport. — With Storyful.
