A NEW festival kicks off at Thredbo ski resort this week, with a range of bands, DJs and snow sports competitions.
Highlights of the Thredbo Efterski Festival, from Thursday to SaturdaySeptember 12 to 14, include the Rhythm Skim Showdown and the Toyota One Hit Wonder Big Air.
Local and international professional skiers will also battle it out to kickstart their Association of Freeskiing Professionals World Tour points tally.
There will be performances by British musician Kele, the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the indie rock band Bloc Party, Australian hip-hop group Hermitude, as well as Australia's own Alison Wonderland, Bleeding Knee's Club, Tom Piper and Kid Mac.
A range of accommodation deals including festival passes is available.
