NISSAN MOONLIGHT CINEMA

Starts: Now until Sunday, March 9.

Dick flick: Bourne Ultimatum.

Food and drink: Moonlight Cinema offers a licensed bar and catering, but you can also BYO.

Smoking? Designated smoking areas are provided.

What can I bring? Bean beds are available ($6, plus a $10 (cash only), refundable deposit). Alternatively you can bring low beach chairs, cushions, blankets and rugs.

Getting there: Belvedere Amphitheatre, Centennial Park (on the corner of Loch Avenue & Broome Avenue) Paddington. Enter the cinema via Woollahra Gate on Oxford Street. There's parking on Oxford St and Centennial Park, but get there early.

What time does the film start? Gates open at 7pm, with screenings approximately at 8.30pm, but times may vary according to sundown.

Bookings: You can book online or at the Box Office, but tickets are subject to availability. For groups of 20 or more people, call 1300 364 328.

Price: Online = adult $15, concession $13 and children 5 to 15 years $11. Box Office = adult $17, concession $14 and children $12. Moonlight Movie Club members $10 entry.

Tip: For $32, a Gold Grass ticket includes a glass of Fifth Leg wine and a reserved bean bed in a premium viewing location on the lawn. Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office on the night.

ST GEORGE OPENAIR CINEMA

Starts: Friday, January 11, until Saturday, February 16.

Most anticipated film: Juno.

Food & drink: Choose from a wide range of food and tipples at the St George OpenAir Cinema's famous Chandon Bar. No BYO.

Smoking? No smoking in the grandstand.

If it rains: The screening will continue, with ponchos supplied free of charge.

What can I bring? The grandstand holds 1800 seats, but they can give you a numb bum after a while. So bring along a cushion.

Dogs? No.

Getting there: Fleet Steps, Mrs Macquaries Point, adjacent to the Royal Botanic Gardens.

What time does the film start? Gates open at 6.15pm, with screenings approximately at 8.30pm.

Bookings: You can book online, with tickets on sale Tuesday, 18th December, at 9am.

Price: Online presale = adult $23 plus booking fee, concession $22 or $25 at the door.

Tip: The Chandon Bar offers one the best views of the harbour in Sydney, but only accommodates 400 people – so get there early.
