Falls Creek spokeswoman Debbie Howie said the school holidays had been sensational with fresh snow and blue skies.

"This season is one out of the box, we've had good snowfalls throughout the winter with 40cm of fresh snow fall last weekend,'' she said.

"The snowmaking conditions have been perfect too, so the base is growing continually with fresh snowfalls and snow being made to add to the excellent base.

"Falls Creek is the largest resort in Victoria and with all areas open the resort is pretty full but you wouldn't know it as the lifts as the skiers and boarders are spread out around the mountain exploring all the great runs.''

Ms Howie said bookings very strong with a trend to ski at home this year with value packages and great conditions.

"People are having the time of their life, it's the best family holiday and kids are having a ball,'' she said.
