Qantas announces huge sale with $99 flights up for grabs

Qantas has discounted more than 1 million seats for eight days, with fares starting from $99 – including checked baggage.

Qantas has just launched a huge sale with economy fares starting from $99 one-way.

The airline says there are more than 1 million discounted seats up for grabs on domestic flights.

Seats with a $99 price tag can be found on flights from Sydney to Byron Bay and Launceston to Melbourne.

There are seats starting from $135 from Gold Coast to Melbourne, and seats from $139 on flights from Melbourne to Sydney, Hobart to Melbourne, and Brisbane to Sydney.

For those wanting to travel a bit further, there are seats from Perth to Sydney starting at $309.

The sale begins Wednesday, April 26 and runs for eight days, ending 11.59pm Wednesday, May 3, unless sold out prior.

Qantas said the sale fares are available on more than 100 different routes for different travel periods in 2023 and 2024, and more than 40 routes are on sale for under $150.

The fares include checked baggage.

“These fares are on average 30 per cent below the normal year-round lead in fares, so they are great value for our customers who are looking to plan their next holiday,” a Qantas spokeswoman told news.com.au.

The airline said Covid credits received during the pandemic could be used when booking the sale fares at qantas.com, for travel this year or next.

Otherwise, the sale fares (without using Covid credits) can also be purchased through travel agents.
