FORD FIESTA MOONLIGHT CINEMA
Ford's Moonlight Cinema in Perth's Parklands is famous for its BBQs and open space. It's the ideal spot for some picnic fun before the film.

Starts: December 2, 2010 - March 20, 2011. Gates open at 6.30pm; movie starts at approximately 8pm

Where: Synergy Parkland, Kings Park

Screening: Oscar-nominated films like The Social Network and Inception. Check out the film schedule here.

Price: Adults from $18

Tips: Dogs are not permitted on the grounds - Kings Park has instituted a No Dogs Allowed policy for Moonlight Cinema. So leave your canine friends at home!

LUNA OUTDOOR
Luna Outdoor is a café-style cinema in the heart of Leederville, just a few minutes from central Perth.

Starts: December 16, 2010 - February 16, 2011. Doors open at 7pm.

Where: Vincent St, Leederville

Screening: A snazzy collection of international and art house films like L'Immortel and The Room. Check out the film schedule here.

Price: Adults from $15.50

Tips: Be sure to try the tasty Outdoor Summer Survival Packs (antipasto, dips, cheeses, crackers, olives etc) - they can also be pre-ordered from the cinema.

KOOKABURRA OUTDOOR CINEMA
If you're willing to travel, head to this family-run cinema in the state forest 40 kilometres outside of Perth - it's well worth the trip.

Starts: November 2010 - April 2011. Gates open at 6.30pm; movie starts at approximately 8pm

Where: Allen Road, Mundaring Weir.

Screening: A small but quality collection of Independent films like Made in Dagenham and Wild Target. Check out the film schedule here.

Price: Adults $12

Tips: Kookaburra is a BYO venue - aside from a few snacks, no food or drink is sold at the cinema.
