Opera Under the Stars in Broome, Western Australia

SOME of Australia's best singers will head to WA for the annual Opera Under the Stars.

SOME of Australia's best opera performers will descend on the Kimberley for the annual Opera Under the Stars event this month.

The gala performance will be held at the Cable Beach Amphitheatre in Broome on August 31.

Performers include soprano Hyeseoung Kwon, mezzosoprano Milijana Nikolic, tenor Rosario La Spina, baritone Andrew Jones and pianist Kate Golla.

Music from a selection of the world's most famous opera stories will be performed, including Largo al factotum from Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini, Dôme épais le jasmine from Lakme by Delibes, Ebben, ne'andrò lontana from La Wally by Catalani and Nessun dorma from Puccini's Turandot.

Patrons can also enjoy a pre-performance opera hamper by Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa.

General tickets for the performance cost $100 and $50 for children, while premium tickets cost $200.
