The world's first sleep retreat

TIRED of being tired? Lounge in seaside luxury and enjoy the best night's sleep you ever had in the world's first sleep retreat.

THE combination is hard to beat: world-class seaside resort and a guarantee of one of the best night's sleep you've had.

A leader in natural sleep therapy and the founder of Sleep4Health, Dr Reza Samvat, has launched a world-first sleep retreat at Domain Casuarina Beach Resort on the New Tweed Coast.

The sleep therapist, who has more than 20 years' experience in treating sleep disorders, opened Australia's first and only natural sleep therapy centre in Adelaide in 1997. He now has four centres in Victoria and New South Wales, with another soon to be opened on the Gold Coast.

Dr Samvat said the sleep retreat was designed for people with sleep disorders who might not have the time to tackle sleep issues on a regular and consistent basis.

Snoring success

"The three packages available offer an intense revolutionary program aimed at identifying the major areas contributing to the individual's sleep issues," Dr Samvat said.

"It makes the treatment and clinic more accessible to people with busy lifestyles as the packages are intense and concentrated so that results can be achieved in a shorter period.

"Sleep therapy packages are also ideal for the corporate market, such as business executives who lead a high-pressure working lifestyle. The retreat will assist them in re-balancing and improve sleeping cycles.

"Individuals will undergo a daily treatment plan, learn about their sleep condition and participate in exercise programs specifically designed for them so on completion the patient will feel rejuvenated as well as educated.

"They will also be given a program to follow after they leave the centre so they can achieve their optimum sleep health goal."

Dr Samvat said that more than one-third of Australians suffered from sleep deprivation.

"The statistics on the number of people suffering from sleep disorders is alarming. An estimated one-third of the population snores and more than 50 per cent suffer from insomnia," he said.
