NORTH Bondi is home to the best Airbnb property in Australia — and it’s also considered one of the top places to rent anywhere in the world.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment comes with stunning, uninterrupted views of our most famous beach, as well as the option of wine and cheese on arrival, all for the pretty reasonable price of $649 a night.

The spacious pad was selected among three of the world’s best properties to feature in a new collaboration between Airbnb and Qantas.

Its owners, Vanessa Vartto and husband Kevin, first started renting it out on Airbnb three years ago while they travelled overseas to visit family in Canada and New Zealand, according to the Property Addict.

But it was so popular they couple moved into a new home in Paddington, in inner city Sydney, and rented out the North Bondi apartment full time.

And it’s not just the panoramic views or the sounds of the ocean that make this place special — it also offers a concierge service, which includes champagne and flowers on arrival, wine and cheese, breakfast and fruit hampers and free-range, organic, grass-fed barbecue meat packs.

The apartment comes with unlimited Wi-Fi, Netflix, a coffee machine, washer and dryer, 1200-thread count linen and Molton Brown-brand toiletries.

It’s attracted a lot of eager guests, including international pop stars and designers and top athletes.

But the open-plan, 149sq m apartment is also an ideal place for a larger group to splash out on a luxury stay — there’s a king bed and two queen beds, and an ensuite with a spa bath off the master bedroom.

“Our place sleeps six. If you’re a family, or three couples and you’re travelling — what are your options?” Ms Vartto, a PR manager, said.

“You can stay in a hotel in two or three separate rooms where the cost is going to be higher and you may be on different floors from each other. Or, you can stay in a home and be together.

“You’ll have a large lounge area where you can sit together and socialise — and you’re going to have one of Australia’s best views.”

Ms Vartto said she tried to anticipate “what our guests will want and need for their stay”.

“We go the extra mile and create something special for their stay. It’s the thoughtful gestures that make it memorable,” she said.

“There will always be that traveller that’s been on the road for months. They may not want the impersonal hotel, offering a hundred standard rooms. They want the personalised interaction. “They want to hear from a local to how to have a local experience. They want to know where the best coffee is, where the markets are … they want to feel part of a community”.
