Inside Pippa Middleton and James Matthews’ swanky Sydney honeymoon suite

PIPPA Middleton and James Matthews spared no expense on the Sydney leg of their epic honeymoon, staying in one of the city’s most sought-after rooms.

THEY are reported to have spent $1.73 million on their lavish wedding.

And it seems Pippa Middleton and her new husband James Matthews spared no expense when it came to their extravagant honeymoon either.

The 33-year-old socialite and her multi-millionaire hedge fund manager husband, 41, are believed to have stayed in a $19,000-a-night suite at the five-star Park Hyatt hotel in Sydney, The Sun reports.

The newlyweds touched down in Australia after island-hopping in French Polynesia, and were spotted walking hand-in-hand near the swanky accommodation on Wednesday.

It is reported Pippa and James stayed in either the two-bedroom Opera Suite, which would have set them back $12,000 a night, or the Sydney Suite, which costs a staggering $19,000 a night.

The Sun Online has contacted the Park Hyatt for further information.

The Sydney Suite boasts a private outdoor terrace with awe-inspiring panoramic views of the Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The enormous master bathroom features a spa bath, sauna and steam room, while the spacious lounge is designed around a central gas fireplace.

The suite, which is the largest offered in central Sydney, also has six separate private balconies, offering different views to the stunning harbour front.

The Park Hyatt also has lavish leisure facilities, including a spa, a fitness centre, a rooftop heated pool and a relaxation room.

The hotel’s signature restaurant, The Dining Room, serves up modern European cuisine, while The Living Room eatery is perfect for laid back dates with casual meals.

Pippa and James could enjoy a drink at The Bar, which is a contemporary venue serving “a selection of fine beverages”, the website states.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West stayed at the Park Hyatt during their visit in 2014.

The Park Hyatt rooms are so exclusive they do not advertise prices on their website, but instead send information to guests on request.

Pippa and James tied the knot this month at St Mark’s Church in Englefield, west of London, in a grand and star-studded wedding, with the bride’s sister Kate and husband Prince William in attendance.

After their nuptials, the couple reportedly jetted off to the Pacific island of Tetiaroa, part of French Polynesia.

Tetiaroa is a tiny paradise, thousands of kilometres south of Hawaii, which was once a summer residence for the chiefs and kings of Tahiti.

It is also believed that the pair will enjoy another honeymoon as they also plan a cosy stay at a romantic spot in the Scottish Highlands.

The area is where James’s family owns a 4050-hectare estate near to Loch Ness. His father, David, has the title Laird of Glen Affric.

A friend told The Sun’s Dan Wootton: “Pippa was very heavily involved in the organisation of the big day, and they’ve decided on two very different honeymoon breaks — first to a stunning island out in French Polynesia but then to Scotland because it’s a special place for both of them.”
