A MAJOR new exhibition will be officially unveiled at Sydney Aquarium today as part of a $10 million makeover.
The Tropical Bay of Rays exhibit is one of fourteen new zones and will showcase a variety of species of ray.
The marine creatures will reside in a centralised tank surrounded by tropical palms and a pink illuminated sunset scene.
Species include the blue-spotted maskray, leopard sharks, white-spotted guitarfish and leopard whiprays.
Visitors will be able to take part in daily feeds and talks and see aquarists get up-close inside the tank with the graceful floor-skimming animals.
The popular tourist attraction will reopen as SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium in September.
