IT'S no doubt slightly annoying and possibly a pain in the neck but there's a reason why your mates have suddenly decided to change their profile picture to an African animal.

The good news is they haven't all turned into a bunch of nature lovers, but have got an answer wrong to a riddle.

Here's how it works.

Users post the riddle and ask their mates to message them the answer.

Those who get it correct get to keep their own profile picture, those who fail must change it to a picture of a giraffe for three days.

Are you game to answer? Spoiler below.

It's 3:00am, the doorbell rings and you wake up. Unexpected visitors. It's your parents and they are there for breakfast. You have strawberry jam, honey, wine, bread and cheese. What is the first thing you open?

Answer:

It's the door, although some Facebook users have also correctly answered eyes.
