AgencyGlass will keep your eyes looking awake when you’re asleep
THE boss is droaning on and you’re trying your hardest not to fall asleep but your eyes keep getting heavier. Help may finally be on the way.
THE boss is droaning on and you’re trying your hardest not to fall asleep but your eyes keep getting heavier. Enter AgencyGlass, the goggles that can make you look awake even if you’re off fighting robots in your dreams.
Developed by Hirotaka Osawa, a Japanese engineer at the Tsukuba University, the goggles were created to help people get through the tedious parts of their day.
When you’re bored the goggles sense this and display a pair of ‘excited eyes’ on twin screens. They even change direction when you move your head and blink when you nod.
Of course, the goggles look clunky and not one bit believable, but Mr Osawa told New Scientist that he will keep working on the glasses so that one day they will be available to “reduce the cognitive load imposed on us by social manners.”
Till then you’ll have to make do with strong mints and coffee to stay awake in meetings.
