Commander Virts has been upon the ISS since November and was set to return to Earth on May 13, however his return was delayed after an unmanned Russian resupply spacecraft crashed into the Pacific Ocean earlier this month.

The astronaut said he wasn’t concerned about his extended visit because it gave him an opportunity to capture the amazing footage.
“I am very glad to stay,” he wrote on Twitter.
