A LUCKY woman just got an accidental call from space after astronaut Tim Peake misdialled her phone number.

The British Major, presumably trying to ring his loved ones to exchange Christmas well-wishes from the International Space Station, apologised on Twitter for his blooper after he greeted the stranger with, “Hello, is this planet Earth?”.

Peake, 43, sheepishly apologised on Twitter and insisted he was not playing a joke.

This misdial wasn’t Peake’s first phone mishap. Earlier this week, the space traveller was forced to leave a voicemail on his parents’ answering machine when they missed his call.

Followers reacted to his latest blunder with a mixture of humour and envy.

A little earlier, Peake had wished all his followers a merry Christmas alongside a snap of Earth.
