A man who passed away after a motorcycle crash in early August has given the ultimate gift to people in need.

Queensland man Michael Beeby died after a motorcycle accident on the Mount Lindesay Highway in Beaudesert on Saturday August 5.

Ambulance crews were called to the scene at about 11.40am after Michael’s motorcycle collided with a car.

He was flown to the Gold Coast University Hospital at about 1pm but was unable to be saved.

His family have paid tribute to the beloved father and friend, and revealed his final selfless act that helped people in need, including a sick baby girl.

In a tribute shared to fundraising page GoFundMe, Michael’s family revealed he was an organ donor, and went on to give “gifts” to other people in need following his death.

“We received the news that he had sustained a terrible head injury on top of many others,” Kristina Siegert, a friend of the family wrote.

Ms Siegert said Michael went through surgery in an attempt to stop the bleeding on his brain, but there was “too much pressure” in his brain to survive.

His family, including two young children, had only a short amount of time to say their goodbyes and “hold daddy’s hand just one more time.”

“Michael was a donor and had surgery on Monday to donate his gifts to their new recipients,” Ms Siegert wrote.

“Some of these included a liver, heart, lungs, pancreas and two kidneys which were all received by the recipients on Monday including a baby who is doing really well today after receiving a part of Michael’s liver.”

She said the lives of Michael’s wife Alicia and their children have been turned upside down, and asked people to help the family out in their time of need.

“I am asking for those that can help and spare some funds to assist Alicia so we can take away the financial burden and she can concentrate on Kate and Alex to get them through the very dark and hard days ahead,” she wrote.

“Alicia is always the first to step up and offer help to other people, but I feel this is the time we can help her. Nothing for her is ever too much trouble.”

The GoFundMe page, which had an original target of $5000, has now raised over $16,000.

“Beebs was someone you could always lean on for support,” one person wrote on the page.

“I will miss seeing his friendly smile here at work.”
