Sunshine Coast Snake Catcher 24/7 launches weekly tours for reptile fans
There are walking, wine and ghost tours. But now there is a more slippery variety with a snake-catcher planning to hold tours.
It’s the stuff both dreams and nightmares are made of.
A Queensland snake catcher is giving reptile enthusiasts the chance to quite literally follow in his footsteps.
Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 owner Stuart McKenzie has launched snake catching tours.

That’s right, from January you’ll be able to spend the day with him and his team as they wrangle the slithery creatures from people’s homes.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” he said in the video that went up on social media on Tuesday.
“It’s not only going to be an exciting, adrenaline-pumping experience, it’s also going to be something that’s very educational.”
Pythons, red-belly blacks, browns and tree snakes; you name it, you’ll be able to touch it.
“You won’t be able to handle any venomous stuff but you’ll be able to definitely assist in relocating, letting go and releasing our non-venomous species like our tree snakes and carpet pythons,” Mr McKenzie said.
The popular snake catcher, who has more than 140,000 Facebook followers, said the tours had been five years in the making.
“We’ve been asked about this for years and years and finally it’s available,” he said.
The tours are available to children and adults of all ages.
