Sonja Probst shares incredible photographs of baby primates around the world

AN animal handler went on a 6000 km trip to photograph baby primates. What she found was not only cute ... but draws beautiful links between us and them.

EXTRAORDINARY images have been captured of some of the world’s most adorable pint-sized primates.

Bavarian animal handler and photographer Sonja Probst toured zoos in Germany and Tenerife to highlight the links between human and ape behaviour.

She studied how the mothers nurtured and raised their offspring and discovered it was akin to human parenting.

Her incredible photographs highlight this link by showcasing the mischievous and innocent nature of baby primates. She hopes the photos have a similar effect to human baby photos and pulls at the hearts of people.

The images also serve as reminder that these beautiful and intelligent creatures are under threat in the wild due to logging and deforestation.
