Snake found in bonnet of ute in Queensland

When you open the hood of your car, you would think the first thing your would come face to face with is an engine, not a HUGE snake.

ORGANISING your car rego can be annoying at the best of times, but spare a thought for a Queensland woman who found a humungous snake in the bonnet of her ute when trying to get her VIN number.

The Mooloolah resident copped an eyeful of a ‘fat’, two-metre carpet python sitting on her engine when she popped the hood of her Holden Rodeo.

She dropped the bonnet like a hot potato and called a snake catcher. Watch the entertaining video below.

Cool as a cucumber, Sunshine Coast snake catcher Richie Gilbert arrived to save the day.

‘It’s nice and fat. Good condition. Nice snake. It’s a beautiful snake. Do you believe me?’ he asked the Rodeo owner.

‘No. It’s a snake,’ she replied, before Gilbert placed the snake into a black bag.
