Smoking fish video causes outrage

A GROUP of fisherman have been criticised online for posting a video of a fish smoking a cigarette.

The men can be heard laughing as they video the fish smoking a lit cigarette on their phones.

Animal welfare groups are outraged by the footage, saying the men should be charged with animal cruelty.

It is still unknown where the footage was shot or who was involved.

About 1000 people have commented on the video, with most expressing disgust at the actions of the fishermen.

“I am a fisherman myself but the disrespect here towards mother nature is just sad,” Sandman300000 posted on the LiveLeak video.

Others though were quick to roll out the puns and make light of the video.

“Must be a puffer fish,” Abergoon wrote.

“No lungs, no lung cancer. Win-win situation,” wrote SitDOWN.

It comes days after a man was caught on camera luring a squirrel with treats before kicking it off the Grand Canyon.

The 15-second video was uploaded to YouTube by a user claiming he was just a witness and had no part in the evil joke.

“I did not realise what was happening until it was too late,” Jonthan Hildebrand wrote in his defence. “I do not know who they are. All I know is that they were French.”
