Six‐year‐old Townsville boy mauled by family dog

A boy remains in hospital with facial injuries after he was attacked by his family’s dog.

Emergency services were called to a property in Vincent, Townsville on Thursday afternoon.

It’s understood the dog bit the six‐year‐old on the face after he hit him with a stick.

The bull mastiff x cattle dog was taken away by Townsville City Council officers and will now be euthanised.

The little boy was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
