Police officers snuggle with lost baby sea lion

ALL this lost baby sea lion wanted was a hug. And that is exactly what he received.

A FRIENDSHIP sealed with a snuggle.

A baby sea lion has survived a terrifying ordeal with help from the San Francisco Police Department.

Officers found the freezing, unaccompanied pup huddled up in a stairwell on California’s Ocean Beach in the middle of the night.

While waiting for The Marine Mammal Centre of California to arrive and rescue the poor sea lion, the officers kept him company and gave the distressed pup exactly what he wanted — a cuddle.

The baby sea lion was overjoyed by the warm company.

“Officers were in constant communication with The Marine Mammal Centre and kept the pup company until morning to ensure it didn’t cross into oncoming traffic once commute hours began,” the SFPD wrote.

The pup was soon rescued by The Marine Mammal Centre and hopefully will be released back into the wild in the near future.
