Police have made an unusual request for public assistance after 57 goats went missing from a property in regional Queensland.
A herd of distinctive goats missing from a rural Queensland property have prompted police to issue an unusual call for public assistance after the beloved farm animals disappeared.
Detectives from Queensland’s rural and stock crime squad are seeking public assistance after the 57 goats went missing from a property in Adelaide Park, near Rockhampton.
Police believe the herd went missing sometime between July 13 and 22.
The herd itself is made up of a natural poley Boer billy, a Kalahari billy, 15 boer nannies and 40 rangeland nannies.
Officers are seeking information from anyone who would have seen any suspicious activity in the area.
They are also asking for anyone who may be aware of a person who has recently acquired goats by unknown means or advertised the animals for sale.
