A PHOTO of a padded room covered in litres blood has emerged on a social media site, and it’s not from a movie or a gruesome crime scene.

The bizarre image was posted to Imgur by ‘Rod_Of_Asclepius’ who says their friend is a vet and all the blood came from a horse who had a nose bleed.

“My friend is a veterinarian. A horse had a nose bleed and it looks like something out of a horror movie,” the photo was captioned.

The horse was treated by the vet and is fine, according to the post.

Since being uploaded less than a day ago, the photo has been viewed more than 3 million times.

Social media has been flooded with discussions about the bloody pic.

Some pointed to a murder cover up, while others believe it to be a marketing ploy for a Hollywood horror film.

“Nice cover story. But seriously, what did you do with the body?” one Reddit user commented.

“I am not entirely convinced that this is not from a horror movie,” another added.

The average horse has a blood volume of about 50 litres, which is nearly 10 times the blood volume of a human adult.
