Octopus versus cat in titanic battle of land against sea

See what happens when this cat tries to snag itself a live octopus for dinner.

When this cat spotted a tub full of tasty octopodes, it couldn’t resist the temptation of some tasty fresh seafood.

What happened next had more resemblance to a scene from Alien than a seafood feast.

The gripping battle of land v sea was captured in a video posted to Youtube by SBSculture.

The unlucky octopus wasn’t too keen on being eaten and attached itself firmly to the cat’s face.

The cat initially tried to rid itself of the face-grabbing cephalopod using the tried-and-tested feline method of walking backwards rapidly, but to no avail.

A quick swipe with a paw achieved what no amount of backwards walking could do and the cat settled down to enjoy its eight-legged prize.

That was when the octopus owner arrived to put an end to the illicit feast, although the furry seafood thief was extremely reluctant to give up its hard-won meal.
