Monster 230kg arapaima caught in Thailand
IT TOOK two hours to reel in this monster of a fish. And the fisherman needed help from three other blokes to finish the job.
THOSE who dream of catching a gigantic fish would be best to look away now or risk being green with envy.
While casting his rod off the banks of the Palm Tree Lagoon Fishing Park in Thailand, Johnny Airaksinen hooked a massive arapaima.
The lucky angler had to fight for two-hours in order to reel in the 230 kilogram monster.
Once he got the fish close enough to the land, he had to enlist the help of three other men to lift it out of the water.
Despite falling short of a new world record for the biggest arapaima caught with a rod and line, the catch is impressive nonetheless.
What is the biggest fish you have caught?
