DID you hear the one about the kangaroo that made headlines because she escaped from a farm in Canada? Hang on, Canada?

The runaway ‘roo had everyone on the hop after a brief dash for freedom from a zoo therapy farm, CBC News reported.
Mirka, aged one, hopped over a fence when a truck came to pick up some horses.
Trainer and zoo therapist Luc Lefebvre said the 75cm tall kangaroo had escaped on Sunday but he managed to capture her the following day.
Mr Lefebvre said the animal was friendly and being trained to work with children.
And while Mirka was found safe and sound, her disappearance certainly generated some attention.
The St-Lazare fire department was more than a little surprised when it received a surprise call about the escapee.
Daniel Boyer, the director of public security at the fire department in St-Lazare, told CBC Canada he thought the call was a joke at first.
The kangaroo also generated some Twitter attention, especially since it coincided with news that three inmates had escaped a Quebec prison only a day earlier.
The prisoners, facing murder charges, used a helicopter to make a brazen escape from jail just one day earlier and are still on the run, according to Global News.

While there’s no sign of the inmates, at least concerned animal lovers can be assured the kangaroo is safely back where she belongs.
