A man has suffered “significant” facial injuries after being bitten in the face by a dog on a property in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Emergency services were called to a private property near Kenilworth - a rural town in the Sunshine Coast region, north of Brisbane - about 2.51pm on Sunday after reports of the incident.
A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesman said a man in his 40s was treated for significant facial injuries.
It is believed the man was camping on a private property when a dog belonging to another camper bit him.
The Sunshine Coast-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew landed in a nearby paddock about 3.30pm that same afternoon and flew the man to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The breed of dog involved is not known.
