Man charged with stealing more than 150 goats

POLICE have charged a man who they suspect has stolen more than 150 goats in the far west of NSW.

IN the far west of NSW a man has been charged with stealing more than 150 goats.

Rural crime investigators from the Darling River Local Area Command have been investigating the theft from a property about 20km west of Cobar in February this year.

It will be alleged the goats were removed from a paddock over a number of days.

On November 11, another landowner near Nyngan reported to police that nine goats had been taken from a paddock on the property.

Early yesterday, police arrested a 21-year-old man at Nyngan Police Station.

He was charged with two counts of steal stock and one count of malicious damage and refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Saturday.
