Kangaroo spotted hopping down Detroit street, on leash, is a long way from home
LOCALS were in for a roo-d awakening when a leashed marsupial hopped down the street, with it’s owner running in tow.
Detriot locals were no doubt left stunned upon seeing an Eastern Grey kangaroo hop, while leashed, down the street with a man running in tow.
Luckily, a video of the bizarre event was shared to Twitter, for the internet to jump over.

Authorities were initially concerned the animal was a victim of the exotic pet trade and sent officers into the neighbourhood to investigate.
However, the roo belonged to one Javon Stacks, who runs a travelling animal show called Exotic Zoo.
He toldMichigan Live: “It was for a birthday party a couple weeks ago.
“There’s not enough room in someone’s home to bring a kangaroo, so we stepped outside.”
He added: “Inner city kids’ parents don’t have enough money to go to the zoo or transportation to go to the zoo.
“When schools invite us ... we perform in the gymnasium. We take 50-60 students every hour and rotate them.”
The zoo aims to educate children about mammals, reptiles, predators, prey, the food chain and more.
It’s intended to bring to life the creatures kids read about in their text books.
