THIS is the horror moment a little girl is mauled by a lion after dozens of children were locked in a cage with the beast.

Shocking footage has appeared online showing the moment the animal pounced on the youngster at an enclosure, reports The Sun.

There's no escape for the girl as the animal backs her into the corner

The girl can be seen screaming in terror as lion swipes at her with its paws, pinning her to the wall before forcing her to the ground.

She then disappears beneath the big cat, who appears to be going for the kill.

Other kids are seen running around the pen, screaming as the deadly predator continued to attack the girl.

The brutal attack happened at an enclosure in Jaddah, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, according to local reports.

But thanks to the quick-thinking bystanders who, after a sustained struggle, manage to pull the lion off the girl, she was able to get up and stumble to safety.

It is not clear what the girl’s condition was after the attack.
