HISTORY has been made at Madrid zoo!

A new giant panda has been born and it’s the first female cub at the capital’s zoo.

Hua Zui Ba, one of the zoo’s residents, gave birth to the adorable cub late Tuesday night and all seems to be going well.

The cub weighs 180 grams and is ‘‘well-formed, very active and has excellent vital signs”, the zoo has stated.

It became clear to specialists at Madrid zoo that the birth was approaching, after Hua Zui Ba started to become constantly fatigued, lost her appetite and began licking her paws.

Experts from China’s Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base assisted the zoo during the panda’s pregnancy.

There are now four giant pandas at the Madrid zoo. Unbearably cute.
